About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join us as the Senior Community Facilities Officer on a temporary 12 month basis. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the coordination and delivery of City of Ryde's community and cultural facilities for hire and licenced buildings.

As the Senior Community Facilities Officer, you will assist the Team Leader Community Facilities in achieving Council's strategic social and community outcomes by identifying opportunities to increase the utilisation of community facilities and attract suitable tenants for our licenced buildings. In this role you will collaborate with our maintenance and property team to ensure that our community halls, meeting rooms, and licenced buildings are adequately maintained. You will also manage and utilise the community facility booking system and consult with tenants and community facilities users on operational changes, managing complaints and conflict resolution as necessary.

 

About You

You will have experience working with community organisations and groups and a commitment to customer relationships management practices. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Your passion for working with community groups together with your ability to work as both a team player and autonomously will give you an edge. 

In addition, you will also have:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in property management, facilities management or similar or have extensive experience in a similar position  

  • Previous experience with community facilities/properties management and maintenance
  • Sound written communication skills including proven experience in preparing reports, correspondence and submissions
  • Experience working with community organisations and groups. 
  • Ability to work productively with limited supervision and to competing deadlines.
  • Experience in Local Government procurement practices

 

Your salary will be in the range $75,684 - $98,390 p.a. plus superannuation, dependent on experience and skills.
