About the Role
As the CFO, you will be responsible for ensuring all financial aspects and activities of the Council are managed to the highest possible standards and compliance. In addition, you will lead the Finance/Corporate Services team to deliver efficient, comprehensive and fully integrated financial management services to Council.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the role will emphasise continuous improvement and development of efficient and effective workflow processes and systems while meeting regulatory and legislative requirements. You will provide timely and accurate specialist advice and reports to the General Manager, Executive Team, and Council in the long-term strategic planning, policy development and maximizing operational efficiencies for Council.
Tertiary qualified in a finance or accounting discipline; you will have a proven track record in providing a thorough understanding of governance and financial reporting within a local government setting. Experience in leading and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team while building a culture of collaboration and shared vision in a political environment.
