About the role
Parking Rangers provide a valuable service to the community by keeping parking areas available and safe for members of the public. As a parking Ranger, you will ensure parking rules are observed by motorists by undertaking patrols and inspections and issuing infringements, as well as taking part in public education programs regarding parking and related safety matters. After familiarisation training, you will take part in a 7 week rotating roster for which week-end penalty rates are payable.
You will have previous experience in a parking enforcement or similar compliance type role. You will have well developed written communication skills to enable you to prepare memos and reports regarding infringement matters and have the confidence to provide statements and give evidence at court hearings as and when required.
An ability to deal with conflict situations calmly and professionally is an essential personal attribute as is a current NSW driver’s licence.
Completion of year 12 High School studies, a TAFE course in Business or similar, or Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) will be well regarded, but is not essential.
What we offer
This position has a base salary range from $54,968 to $69,715 per annum + Superannuation + penalty rates as appropriate. Your commencing salary will depend on your qualifications and experience in a similar role.
You will also have the benefit of an attractive leaseback motor vehicle arrangement that provides you with private use of a fully maintained vehicle. You will also enjoy 5 weeks annual leave per year plus enjoy participation in a Rostered Day Off scheme.
