About the Role

Do you enjoy working outdoors and taking pride in maintaining parks, sportsgrounds and community spaces?

We're looking for motivated and reliable Groundskeepers to join our Parks & Sportsgrounds team. This hands-on role contributes to the maintenance and presentation of Council's parks, reserves, sporting fields and open spaces.

Working as part of a small team, you'll undertake a variety of outdoor maintenance activities while helping deliver quality facilities that are enjoyed by the Ryde community every day.

You are someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in a job well done. You are reliable, safety-focused and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Whether your experience comes from grounds maintenance, landscaping, labouring, horticulture, sports field maintenance or another outdoor role, you'll bring a strong work ethic, reliability and a willingness to contribute to the team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Maintaining parks, sportsgrounds and open spaces
• Operating and caring for grounds maintenance equipment
• Assisting with mowing, trimming and general grounds maintenance activities
• Undertaking labouring and maintenance tasks as required
• Helping keep Council's parks and sporting facilities clean, safe and well presented
• Working collaboratively with team members to deliver quality services to the community

In Addition, You Will Have

• Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, labouring, horticulture or a similar outdoor role is highly regarded
• Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment
• The ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A current Class C Driver Licence

Desirable

• Experience maintaining sports fields or recreational facilities
• Certificate III in Greenkeeping, Horticulture or a related discipline
• Local Government experience

Salary

Your commencing annual salary will range from $61,294.02 to $70,050.31 per annum + 12.5% superannuation. Salary offered will be dependent on skills, knowledge and experience.
