About the Role

City of Ryde is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Waste Collection Operator (internally the role is known as Truck Driver / Cleansing Operator Reserves) to support the maintenance and presentation of our parks, sports fields, and open spaces.

Working as part of our Sportsgrounds, Parks and Gardens team, you will contribute to keeping our community spaces clean, safe, and welcoming through effective waste collection and operational support.

Key Requirements

  • Current MR (Medium Rigid) Driver’s Licence or higher
  • Experience operating trucks with waste compactor equipment
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Knowledge of EPA legislation relating to waste collection and disposal
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and organise tasks effectively

Your annual salary will range from $66,517.81 to $76,865.02 + superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
