About You
Are you a Transport Engineering Lead (known as Senior Coordinator Transport Planning in City of Ryde) to take the future of transport of City of Ryde to the next level. Your superior transport engineering skills are key to bringing your projects together and thinking of the future-state City of Ryde.
You will have experience working in a similar role or a transport SME wanting to develop their people leaderships skills coupled with the ability to build strong relationships. Your influential approach along with your superior negotiation skills will drive positive outcomes for the City of Ryde.
In addition, you will also have:
- Degree in Engineering (Civil), Town Planning, Transport Planning or other relevant discipline, with substantial diversified experience in transport planning and some management experience.
- Class C Drivers’ Licence.
- Significant experience in transport planning including the development and preparation of multi-modal transport plans and strategies, preferably in a government environment.
- Sound knowledge of integrated land use and transport as well as the State planning framework
- Demonstrated experience in preparing policies, controls and guidelines relating to transport planning matters.
- Experience in transport infrastructure planning.
- A good understanding of transport modelling such as SIDRA, including the different levels of modelling, their appropriateness for different projects, and their inputs and outputs.
- A good understanding of traffic engineering, road safety, active transport and ‘place’-based transport performance measures, including when and how they are applied.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake high level research on complex traffic and transport related topics.
- Demonstrated ability to review the validity of traffic models.
- Knowledge of key legislation such as the Roads Act 1993, Transport Administration Act 1988, etc. governing public road and transport infrastructure.
Your commencing annual salary will be up to $147,295.22 + Civil Liability Allowance (3.5%) + Superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
