We are building a high‑performing Project Delivery team and are looking for motivated a Team Leader to be part of our journey.

In this role, you will leverage your strong technical planning skills and development expertise to deliver significant community infrastructure projects, including civil infrastructure, traffic & transport, sports grounds, parks, and recreational facilities. These projects are complex in nature, involving roads, open spaces, structural works and multi‑storey facilities, and will challenge and grow your professional capability.

You will provide guidance and support to your team and as well as work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, managing key milestones and ensuring successful project delivery that supports the strategic objectives of the City of Ryde and enhances community outcomes.

About You

You will be a highly capable and driven leader with proven experience planning and delivering large‑scale and complex infrastructure projects. Your proactive approach, combined with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, will enable you to bring diverse community projects to successful completion.

You will thrive in a complex matrix environment, confidently managing all aspects of project delivery—from planning, stakeholder management, design, procurement, through to construction and handover. Your ability to navigate multiple priorities, influence outcomes, and collaborate across disciplines will be key to bringing projects across the line.

In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering meaningful community outcomes and shaping the future vision of the City of Ryde. You will lead by example—living our values, empowering our people, and contributing to a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

 In addition, you will also have:

 

  • Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management.
  • Extensive experience in the planning, scheduling and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects which include but not limited to civil, public domain and landscape works with high community/political visibility.
  • Excellent knowledge of legislation, regulations, design standards and codes of practice related to the construction, safety and management of civil, public domain, and landscape projects.
  • Highly developed written communication skills including the ability to develop and/or oversee the preparation of tender and contract documentation, complex briefings and technical reports and community consultation/notification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to negotiate project delivery outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence

Your commencing annual salary will range from $147,295.22 to $166,934.58 + Superannuation + Civil Liability Allowance, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
