About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled Field Officer - Mechanical and Essential Services to join our team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mechanical and essential services across our property portfolio.

In this role you will be assisting the Coordinator in maintaining accurate and current records of maintenance and services performed, keeping statutory records (including hazardous materials register) and executing procurement of external services for agreed works programmes.

In this role you will contribute to the development of OPEX and CAPEX budgets in relation to Essential and Mechanical Services and assisting with the planning of capital works projects. You will arrange and monitor programmed maintenance including but not limited to checking items are completed as per schedules (such as electrical, plumbing, and gutter cleaning programmed maintenance). In addition,, you will establish and develop ongoing programs to undertake all facilities management activities, including rolling preventative maintenance programmes.

 

About You

As a Field Officer you will effectively and efficiently manage and maintain Councils buildings to the highest possible standard, including compliance and safety requirements.  In this position you will work effectively with third party service providers for specialised services. 

In addition, you will have:

  • Certificate III Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering diploma.
  • WHS Induction Certificate.
  • Current Driver’s Licence.
  • Experience in the areas of building services maintenance, compliance and projects.
  • Experience in investigative work necessary in diagnosing faults.
  • Proven project and contract management track record within the area of property maintenance and services.
  • Ability to work in, and as an integral part of, a small team, contributing to the team dynamic.

Your commencing annual salary will range from $66,085.20 to $85,910.76  + Superannuation dependent on your experience and qualifications.
